To cool off on the island you can hit the pool for a dip, rent a surfboard and try surfing, ply the waves on a boogie-board, do some body surfing or just watch the waves break at your feet as you comb the beach for the treasures of the sea. To stay in shape or work off those vacation calories, Hutchinson Island boasts many miles of bike and walking paths.

If you are fan of marine life, you are in luck! Bath Tub Reef is short ride away at the end of the island. With a mask and snorkel in a hand, you can be face to face with some of your other gilled neighbors. If scuba is your game, Pepper Park in North Hutchinson offers a nice shore dive and kayaking. Hutchinson boasts fifteen world-class diving spots. The end of July hundreds of tiny loggerhead turtles make their way back to the sea.
